I didn't do one thing as planned to my Comet this winter. I took it out today for a test beating. It ran great!

Yesterday I pulled the 4.00 detroit locker out and put in a trac loc 3.25 gear set, found out that my shocks were shot so I had a new set that I have had for years and replaced them, took off caltrac bars and painted them. Today I took the radiator out and spent a little while straightening bent fins and trimmed a Taurus fan shroud and fit it to the radiator, it was easier than expected. Took off alternator and cleaned up brackets to get ready for the new 3g 130 amp alternator. Ordered all the rest of the stuff needed for the Taurus fan install except the temperature sending unit, dont know what temp range to get I was thinking on at 195 off at 175 ? going to wire it to an on off on switch.

Sold the set of Maverick slotted mags and the detroit locker I took out so I have a little money for some upgrades so I think it is time for the disc brake conversion front and rear, rear may be over kill but it is easy to do and not as expensive as the front besides I want it to purdy like Franks

Finally finished my Daughters 72 Maverick ! She''ll put another couple hundred miles on it and then its off to Ocala
Florida for the Dyno. Tony Ganyon will dial in the computer for maximum performance , fuel mixture , timing , and other aspects to finalize the tune. The car is a 331 stroker with fuel injection converted from a 347 with a carb. Sounds great , runs OK but after the tune I will concentrate on MY cars. Ha .

Put in new brake lines and drum brakes for the rear. Started to bleed the line to find I have a leaky brand new wheel cylinder. Installed the carb I rebuilt, car sounds great.

Got the new Hooker 6901 ceramic headers on it, drivers side went right on with motor lifted. Went to put the passenger side on and had all the bolts started and one came out and could not find it so took header back out and bolt was stuck in the collector area, could not see it from any angle with the header on but knew I had to find it. Also installed the new 3g alternator.
