What are your plans for the backseat? Will you fabricate some kind of frame to hold the bucket foam or adapt an existing frame? I really like that look and am very interested to see how it turns out.

Why not remove the bottom leaf? I have/had General 4 leafs -- rode like a farm tractor; removed bottom leaf made big difference in ride and lowered rear of the car about .75-1 inch.

While that would surely be great for improved ride comfort.. not so great at resisting spring wrap on anything higher powered like this car. Axle locating devices would help reduce the negative effects somewhat though.

We will not be using the stock seat frames at all, as we had hoped to. They make the seat with this foam sit "up" and "forward" too much. My upholstery guy is a genius and is going to make a two individual seat bases for the bottoms, and one back. Keep watching and you will se how he does it.

That is an option. For now I am going to wait until the car is done and on the road before making any additional changes to the springs. I am curious to see if any difference is made when its all together, or not, then decide what to do.

I already have Cal-Trac bars, so I think I would be ok if I removed a leaf. As I said above, I'm gonna wait and decide when its all together.

Yeah, removing the bottom leaf, along with having the Caltracs might just be ideal.

Well, he doesn't have anything to loose by removing a leaf, can always put it back. My car was such an improvement, I threw the removed leaf in the scrap pile. IIRC, my springs are rated at something like 880 lbs. I believe, way to much for a "street only" vehicle.

After getting the upper hose tacked and fitted to my liking, I had a friend tig weld it for me. I ground the welds and then had the hard decision as to what to do to it. In the end, I'm a paint guy, so paint it I did.

I also got the trunk sanded and buffed. Installed the chrome striker with the polished washers from Eddie's Motorsports.

I also got the NOS door glass installed in both doors along with the Nu-Relics power windows. Love them!! Then I sanded and buffed both front fenders. I only installed the passenger fender for now. Still leaning over the driver side and don't want to risk any issues.

I had thought the front end was too low before, so I raised it a bit. Now I'm looking at this and thinking I may have gone too far. I will wait for the entire car to be assembled and then reassess.

Looks great. That upper radiator pipe is not gonna be very flexible when that engine moves.

Engine compartment is now done! All the wiring is complete and everything is now plumbed. Just have to add fluids and it is almost time to crank it over. Just a little more wiring to do under the dash.
