Are the ones with cutouts an exact fit and repro of the Maverick panel, or do we have to modify it? I know they are Mustang parts, but how's the fit?
They are for Mustangs and they don't fit quite the same. Tom Hackman had them on one of his cars, there are photos on here somewhere.
Still kinda sucks. Looking at CJ Pony Parts you can buy a Dynacorn Mustang rear valance for $60-$104 depending on the year and features, but they want $200 for a Maverick valance.
Not defending them, but I would assume it's because they sell a lot more Mustang parts than Maverick parts.
What bothers me, is that all Dynacorn parts are made in Taiwan, and the fit of fenders and hoods is terrible on Mustangs. Makes me wonder why Mavericks would be any different.
Hi Larry: Just got my Dynacorn Grabber Hood and scoops delivered Wednesday . Superb packaging .. The HOOD in a box wrapped in bubble wrap , and THAT BOX put into a LARGER box ! .. Pulled it out and inspected it ANYWAY .. Looks great .. Going to the Painters next week . Trying to get it painted BEFORE June 8th when we pull out for this years HOT ROD Power Tour in Kansas City . I plan on ' Test Fitting ' the hood ONTO the Maverick BEFORE it's touched just in case there IS a defect in the fit . I recall seeing another enthusiast on this forum with HIS Dynacorn Hood and he said it fit GREAT! I Hope the one I have does also ! ( We'll see.) Cometized Chip
Autokrafters had Dynacorn Maverick fenders and valances at the Carlisle Ford Nationals this past weekend. I asked the guy how much the rear valance cost. Was hoping they had a special "show price". He said the price wasn't on his price sheet so he had to call the store. When he hung up he said "$250"! LOL My mouth dropped open, I said "Thanks" and walked away.
Melvin's is asking $199 http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb...~S4XO0JBZQT10870122650b~Z5Z5Z5~Z5Z5Z50001018o
I realize this is a ' late reply ' but I thought I'd mention it . The Hood fits GREAT - Its painted now and we're waiting for the paint to dry today and tomorrow and we're installing it AGAIN onto the Maverick and we're making the HRPT with the Dynacorn Hood on the car. It should be cured after 4000 miles of driving . Cometized ( Chip )
