mine being driven often works well on my lift. how well would a tilt work for a drivable car. would you have to remove the bumpers everytime you wanted to do something to the underside? how far could you tilt the car with tires and all the fluids (oil. trans fluid and gas) in it? I can see a tilt being better on a stripped out shell.

Your right, tilt is for a car that is used in a stripped-down state, reducing fatigue factor of constant reaching overhead.
It's basically for doing "one time" under-carriage restoration.

Got the car up and running on Monday. The initial problem was the ignition switch, but I replaced a lot of the electrical parts (alt, starter, fan), and the ignition module in the distributer, which went bad when the switch did. The alt. is a PowerMaster 150amp single wire, and it works very well. Took her on a ride the other day, seems like it is ready to go to the body shop when he calls me for it.

Finished things up underneath, still wet in the photos. Eastwood Chassis Black Satin over Rust Bullet. I do NOT recommend this. The 3M urethane seam sealer is going to show glossy no matter what I do. Getting coverage over silver with essentially black water was why I had to get a cheap paint gun (HF "Purple Gun"). Cannot be done with a brush. All told, the Rust Bullet blackshell is a comparable look with a way better lay down and finish. Lesson learned. No wonder Eastwood says two coats of black primer first.

Winter project started here in the North... Replacing tail lights with Digitails. Hoping to get them installed this winter and blacking out the rear panel and/or tail light bezels.

You'll like the Digitails! We installed a set on my Maverick this past year.

Being in the garage for the winter, I decided to dive in and see what is lurking below the vinyl top. It was I good shape but I am just not a fan. Started tearing it off. Looks like lots of hard clean up work to go but nothing scary underneath. I don't really see any rust, which being Wisconsin is saying something.

By far the cleanest I've seen underneath yet.
