Hello all, You used to be able to find me on the Vintage Mustang Forums (VMF), but now i'm here with another project: A 1974 Maverick. A couple forum posts were posted here a few years ago about this car, and it's back! This 1974 Maverick is a former Rally and Cannonball car, and it stars in a few webpages online. I just picked it up, and plan on turning it into a nice reliable street car (it may see one or two more rallys, however). This will join the stable with my 69' mach 1 that's (slowly) undergoing a full restoration, and will allow me to enjoy a drive-able classic car while that's being worked on. "MAV 1" has a 302 V8, C4 trans, 8 inch rear, front discs, mud flaps, dirt tires, a cracking vinyl roof, and amazing original paint. The body only has ~60k original miles! Thanks for having me, I'm looking forward to learning a lot from this community, as well as contributing where I can!
Welcome from Portland, OR. That was smart getting a "project" that runs and drives instead of having 2 non runners. Are you near Bend or farther east? Nice car.
For sure, I learned my lesson from my “field find” Mach 1! It’s really nice to be able to crawl under the car and not have rust shower into my eyes. East Oregonian here.
