How do I view pictures?

    Every post that has pictures attached has a red X through a blank image. Do I need to download a special viewer?

    No, there is nothing you can do about it. Often, those are (were) pictures hosted on a 3rd party site that are no longer found. Years ago it was common for members to just link their pictures they had in these 3rd party hosts. Photobucket was a big one. If these 3rd party sites shutdown or changed their access from a free site to a paid site, all these pictures were lost.

    That is why it is important to upload thread pictures to this forum, so they can remain visible.

    Good you can see those pics. Shows your computer is fine.
    Just to be clear - that build thread is not mine. I just put it out here to see if you could see the pictures OK in a newer thread.

    Thanks for the clarification. It's frustrating to want to see how someone did something and not be able to.
