With a little more attention to detail, that would really look cool!

Doesn't look too bad but the one on the right (passenger side) is crooked

I've been thinking about putting 1966 GTO taillights in my Grandson's '75 Comet. Not that I like putting GM products on a Mertc, but it sure would piss off the GTO crowd. That alone might be worth it.

    What do you think??????

Well, it wouldn't be the 1st time someone on the board put GM tail lights in one of our cars. There's a certain Sprint on here with some. I won't call any names but his initals are M.A.V.A.H.O.L.I.C.
Seriously though, I think those lights are cool but they aren't going to fit a Comet tail panel without serious modification. Might work in a Maverick pretty easy though.:)

You could put a Maverick tail light panel in your comet and then put those GTO lights in. I think the would look pretty cool!!! Explain it like this: "You see, the car was so fast I had to slow it down.......so I put a GM part on it"

Looks like a bit more trouble

than its worth, modifying the whole tail panel. Any body know where to get sheets of lens material to make custom, yet still reflective taillamps?

I always thought that 67-68 Camaro or 69 Nova tail lights would look good on our cars.
They are for flat panels and would go in easy.
Also, depending on trim level of the donor car, they come in a variety of light patterns.
Some trim levels had reverse lights, some didn't, etc...

Late 60's Impala, not sure exact year, had a flat, wide lamp similar to the Brazilian Mav and a bit wider...
