for the disc conversion. As much as I want to do it myself, I never did any brake jobs before and it's something I do not want to mess up since it's my first car. If I get any future Mavs I plan on trying it myself on those. 77 Brake system that I got from gbmaverico(Crhis) which should bolt right on. Hopefully the Meineke guys do this kind of work.
IIRC, they are discs. Chris said all that is needed is just to switch the spindles. He never mentioned anything to me about needing to install a booster.
Don't pay too much No,no,no. You might end up paying too much! So much more that you can buy another maverick for parts. Go look around i'am shure you will get the job done at your local repair shops. Or get info. To do it your self. Eg. Needed new exhust for my kids mazda there price 1,697.00 plus other hidden cost. Did it my self and cost 397.00 .
You know what guys, I actually decided not to take it over there and instead will look to see if I can do it myself since Chris gave me the thumbs up that anyone could do it in a weekend. I plan on taking the brake system from the 77 apart tomorrow and getting the spindle. then next weekend when I am off, I plan on seeing if I can tackle this job myself. I just want someone to do me a favor if it's possible. Can someone just link me to the pic of what the spindle looks exactly like because I plan on buying the calipers, rotors and pads brand new. I just want to insure myself of what the spindle look slike exactly.
