LOL agreed, I've seen a lot of build sheets in my time but never one that listed anything about a non std rear end... I used to know a guy who waited for like two months for his '69 Fairlane 500 with 2bbl 351 & top loader 4-speed to be built(he ordered it)... Supposedly there was a shortage on the transmissions used for small blocks in the Fairlanes/Torinos... I don't have any proof but I don't think he lied about it...
The only logical explanation (if the car does have a 9" which I doubt) is that the rear end has been replaced at some point. Maybe with a Granada 9" due to an accident or something. As Acornridgeman said strange things happen. I bought a base 79 F100 from a guy once with a 6 cylinder and 3 speed on the column. It had a pos 4:11 rear end. He had it change as soon as he bought so the truck would pull his boat out of the water better.
Him stating #47 of 133 cars built in 1977 (meaning with these options, I would assume) sounds like one of those more expensive Marti Reports and not a build sheet.
I was out in my Mav. today. a Guy waved me down and told me he had a new '72 with a Boss 302 in it and it was the baddest thing on the street...
I know a guy who bought a '70 Maverick that came with a 13:1 compression '69 Boss 302 installed. It was a Bud Moore built...not factory. Also it came with a 9" Dana rear end with Doug Nash 5-speed. It came with 'glass fenders and bumper, a Pinto Rack & Pinion with Plymouth Torsion Bar Suspension. His car probably only has around 500 original miles and never been rained on.
OK - I made it through 3 notes of this "song" only because I couldn't get to my "X" button any quicker
I listen to all of it…too busy slapping my knee with one hand and holding my stomach with the other, I wish I had another hand to click the mouse
I don't know what you guys mean. She still has it! Still hot too! Hot as ever! Oh, and by 9" Dana, I assume you mean a Dana 60. That's 9-3/4"
