I will be putting them up for sale or trade for some shorties. Even with the mustang II front end swap, I still can't get the driver side one in from below or above without jacking up the engine. I just want to mock them up to do the intermediate steering shaft, so I don't want to go through all the hassle. Hooker 6901
Not for sale yet, I have to post it in the for sale section. Would like to trade if possible. Anyone know if mid-length would fit? Or just the shorties? Maybe now I can go back to my side pipes!!!
Didn't Frank go through about every Ford header that Summit had in stock before he found some that would work? Might drop him a PM and he could tell you what will and what won't work....
Be sure to post, as I'm all ears on this one... Without the shock towers, wonder what the chance of 5.0 Stang shorties fitting?? No I'm not going to cut mine, just wonderin'...
He went through a bunch of them. I know because I watched him do it. Scott- The steering column is the last thing on the list. You need exhaust installed and car sitting on all 4's and ready to ride before figuring out the steering.
Well, I cannot find ANYONE that has done a 5.0/302 with C4 into a rod and custom kit. Frank used AOD, and eventually ended up with an LS engine, I think. I see Clevelands, 351s, LS engines, but cannot find a single person on here that has done the standard 302/C4 into one of these kits. Looks like I have a job ahead of me...
I have a Mustang II front end and I used the factory shorty headers for a Mustang. I am not sure the difference between the rod and custom front end and a stock front end through.
347/C-4 this is the exhaust system Harold made for it...it started with a set of...Hedman shorties. check the bolt pattern and how easy they are to install...
Oh, when you said you "made" your headers, I assumed you bent each tube and assembled them. I didn't know you started with a stock set and "made" the rest. That is a good idea. Then you can stab that first 4' long chunk in and bolt it up. That is an awesome bolt pattern. You can reach every bolt with a socket!!!
