exactly the same as me..only reason i want it gone is beacuse it takes too much room in my engine bay.

I like my power steering and wouldn't get rid of it unless I had to.

The factory power assisted steering is nice, but I cant wait until I replace the stock setup with a better power steering box.

if you want power steering i would highly suggest doing the borgenson power steering box swap. it really gives a modern car steering feel. the factory power assist system is lousy. its going to leak. if you dont want to do the borgenson conversion then i would say no power steering.

After all the leaks I had in my original power steering, I could never get them to stop, so I yanked it all.

Now I have rack and pinion power, and only 3 connections throughout the entire system.

If I ever get it all back together, I will let you know if I like it better.

I am cool as long as I don't have to put a mat under the car to catch leaking fluid.

my car didnt have power steering on it when I got but my sons did and now that we put headers on the power assist unit had to come off to let the car turn to the left.

also teh cars are light enough to turn fairly easily without power steering.you just have to put a little effort in

Come on Dave. You must have known Frank would find that and turn it against you by quoting your statement in bold italicized oversize writing!!!
