Started up the Comet and moved it. Started up the Maverick and turned it around. Then realized this is the first time I've had 2 running Mavericks/Comets in about 20 years. :biglaugh:

Yanked off a leaking water pump, found the dipstick tube was broken and had been epoxied... ARRGHHH... Was gonna pull the timing cover but it's been off and chain doesn't have slop so I rolled up some brass shim stock, inserted it into the tube and timing cover, works like a charm... Will probably solder it into the upper portion of the tube and then RTV it at the cover... Just a temporary fix, have a aluminum headed 5.0 that will find it's way under the hood sometime in the future...

Acquired some more parts for it. My brother called and asked what wheels I was planning on running which I couldn't answer because I had no idea. Turns out I was planning on running Weld Drag Lites, who knew? He had an extra set that were in his way so he gave them to me. Two of them even have good tires on them! The Yukon box also contains a few freebes from a friend. There are some 31 spline axles and cryogenic treated 4.10's for a 9". Unfortunately the axles are for a F150.

Vectored a design I think I am going to go ahead and do for the Maverick Dash.

Kinda went off of Mustang 05 Dash, but going to make some obvious changes to it.

looks like you got some goodies today for sure..

i went to a swap meet and couldnt find anything to buy & i was trying..ended up with nothing..guy had a set of pulleys for my car but wouldn't sell them..he said it was a "package" deal with the chev pulleys he also had..i couldnt understand why i he was selling them as a package, so i went home and attempted to put in the headliner, got lost due to no springs..and now im sitting around.

Got the girl all fixed up on Friday. Made a quick wire connection to fix my alternator issue and washed her up (just a quickie) and took her to the local cruise in at DQ. Hope to make it again this friday - love to see some more mavs there if anyone is in the area! :D In Aloha off Farmington at the DQ
