1965, for my sister in law. A lot bigger project than my 71. It's a decent car, she paid $2000 for it and its been last reg'd in 91. Floors are good, appears none to little rust

 

Small world....Your comet is in my buddy Linos bodyshop and you bought the craigslist 65 in san mateo i probably would have bought if i had the room for it.

 

Yep, he's painting it. Was going to paint it myself but figured it'd come out nicer if he shot it. The mustang is a little rougher than I would like. Definitely not a steal but a fair deal, you could probably find a better foundation.

 

got hood bolted down and lined up an close as I can get it also lined up the fenders and painted the comet dash emblem and will stick it in the dash and find the nuts for the back tomorrow

 

put my front and back windshield in with just silicone I know its redneck as hell but I dont car it will do for now then took it out for a street race last night but got shut down by the cops before I ever got to pull up next to anyone

 

Installed new sun visor clip and tips.

 

Wow, was I off.
I've restored a couple of early Mustangs..............last one being a 66GT.
You're young..................it's just a lot of work but looks like a somewhat solid start. The last one I restored you could still by OEM sheetmetal, and I had to replace both quarters and all of the front sheetmetal as it was a California GT that had been in a front ender...................2 years of hard work.
