Went and pulled the 8" housing out of the junkyard today. Craziest thing happened...the backing plates fell off and somehow the backing plates and brackets from a Crown Vic appeared on it! :yippee: Looks like the kid will get the 5 lug and rear disc brake conversion at the same time!
Also pulled the back bumper off the same car and put it on mine.

Last night I got the housing end clearanced for the Crown Vic brakes, which took all of 5 minutes to do!

Got those AK Sport mirror gaskets in. They do fit pretty nice. A little on the flimsy side though.

Took apart the processor. It left me on the side of the road after 14 years without a single driveability problem. Found 3 burned capacitors. I may try and fix it.:smash:

Anybody got any links for Ford EEC repair info?

Got the 8" cleaned out real well...got the holes drilled out for the drain and fill plugs. Hopefully tomorrow I will have time to weld the bungs in.

Found some parts on Craigslist that I'm going to buy if he still has them. A guy has some parts from a 72 Torino and my eye is on the console!

Got more parts needed to do a C4 to T5 swap. All I need now is transmission brace, fluid and maybe driveshaft cut down to size. Probably get started with the swap Monday.

Please take a lot of pictures. I'm very interested in the shifter location of the t5 with the c4 hump.
And as usual pictures of which parts of the brace you have to cut.
I might take the same route. Which crossmember will you use?
