for anyone that owns one of these rear ends, you probably know by now that everyone has quit making brake hoses for them. i took some time today and went to the local parts house and went thru every single brake hose untill i found suitable replacements.

i did find one particular hose that has the same size banjo bolt hole size, and uses the standard 3/16" metal brake hard line. they're very close to the same length in size so modding them to work should require little to no effort.

ill have pictures, parts, and part number information sometime over the weekend while i mess around with them. but wanted to go ahead and share the good news with those that are in need of them :)

:thumbs2: That's all it takes when it comes to finding "obsolete" parts. Just a little effort. :Handshake Half the fun is the hunt, not the kill.

And just FYI, those banjo bolt copper washers are also excellent replacements for the ones used on 8 & 9" rear end studs.

So you all know there are placed that can make these hoses. If they don't have the correct fittings and yours are good they cut off the old crimp collars and braze new ones on. Then they put in new hose, OEM style or stainless braided and you have a new hose.

if it is the center hose you need, rockauto.com sells them. if it is the other ones you need, rockauto.com has this cross reference. I am not sure if it is for real but usually they (rock auto) are right.

Those hoses would be for the drum rear end.

If it's the hose that runs from the rearend to the frame, it makes no difference, almost any hose can be made to fit.

seems like there is a new manufacturer in the game. rockauto lists parts from CENTRIC, http://www.centricparts.com/:
    Rear Left Lower: 15061318
    Rear Right Lower: 15061319
unfortunately, no pictures of the parts to be found.
