Thinking it may have looked better if it had a Comet front.. :comet:

If one of them had to get molested, it's better it was a Maverick....there's more of them to be had.

Hey, at least they didn't finish it off by grafting the MII's rear end onto it, right?

I'm sure to most people that car looks like a mod'd MII.. but that fastback roofline somehow reminds them of the older Fords. (y)

The side window louvers look home made and not very well done - the rest of it I can handle :)

The front, fender flairs and side skirts are nicely done. A lot of effort in this car. The side window louvers, I can do without. Also, the piece in front of the side scoops doesn't do it for me. But I have to give props for the effort and ingenuity that went into this one.

I actually really like the appearance of the front end. I probably would have handled the hood scoop differently, but overall, I like it. It should be more stable at higher speed than a stock Maverick and looks better to me than the simple bolt on front spoiler like what most people use.

One of my biggest pet-peeves is when someone puts airdams along the front of the car and don't complete the horizontal profile all the way around. This guy at least kept that profile until he got to the back tires, but then the rear valence area is out of whack compared to the rest of the car.

I almost like the camaro-ish front end, at least around the hood lip and how it overhangs the grille, but then again, it is "camaro-ish".

I agree, the guy did a good job with most of the fabrication. So he gets credit for that.

Just too much on one car in this situation. For me, at least.

That said, if it was local and the price was right, I might snag it and fix up the things I don't like. Maybe. The price would have to REALLY be right.

I’d like to see it without the white stripes (all of them), no window louvers, better wheel and tire package and a billet aluminum grill.

I think it might be 1000% better looking after a few simple modifications (provided they are vinyl stripes).

if it had better wheels and a little narrower front end it would be good.
it looks like the front end is wider then the body itself a bit more work and definitely ditch the louvers and the wheel well scoops and it might actually be cool. I could possibly see rear louvers on the window and a grabber spoiler or a california special mustang spoiler and cougar tail lights maybe

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Whatever you do, some will like it, some wont.
I agree, much work has gone into that car, and it is most likely one of a kind. Who ever owners/builders of that car -- followed the dream/ideas they liked. In the end, I think that is all that matters....
