My uncle and I went to the NMRA race at MIR (Maryland International Raceway) yesterday. There were several very nice Mavericks and Comets at the race.

Here are the pictures of them.

This is the Grabber that is running in the 'Coyote Stock' class. I got to see him make 2 passes yesterday. The first one was a 10.77 and the second one was a 10.64 and he was the #4 qualifier.

This is actually a Comet, but had Maverick grille, hood and tail lights.

This one had a nice set of Fenton aluminum slot wheels on it.

These next two cars were from Maryland and ran in the True Street class and a bracket class. They appeared to belong to a mother and daughter. The first car was painted a color similar to Mystichrome. It changed colors depending on the light. It was driven by the mom.

Her best time was a 10.68 and she had won her first two rounds when we left. Her personalized license plate said '1320 FUN'. It was an original '71 Grabber (6 cylinder).

This car was '71 Maverick driven by the daughter and ran a best time of a 12.42. She had also won her first two rounds when we left.

I was just checking the race results and it looks like the daughter in the orange Maverick won her bracket class. She won the final with a 12.34 @ 108.73 MPH.

The pictures I posted was of all the Mavericks and Comets that were there on Saturday. I didn't see a lime green one anywhere.

The dark blue drag car was running 8.70's, it was a very fast car.
