Since my son has taken welding classes at work, he did a little welding around a trunk cage bar as a test and it came out very nice - I think I found my welder and he was "in house" all the time :)

drove all the way across town to get my new tires put on and everything was looking great had new 255x60x15 cooper cobras on the rear and heres were it went bad they were going to put some other off brand 195x60x15 tires on the front that dont match on the front. :tsk:

I stopped them right there and said if they dont match I dont want any of them.
so they had to take the cooper cobras off and put my old tires back on

sucks because it was going to run me $220 out the door I sure hope they find the front tires in the cooper cobras or all 4 in a decent brand maybe bfgoodrich I doubt Ill get off so cheap if they end up with bfgoodrich

I think the windshield replacement, done today -- will be/is a winner.
Much nicer tint and darker tint strip in the top quadrant. That should help a lot in the reduction of solar heat gain. Also, looking at it from the outside, it looks to have some kind of aluminzed/silver reflective qualities. I will have to see how I like it in evening and nite driving - thou- don't do a lot of nite driving.

Got a longer fan belt yesterday, took it to the AC shop bright and early this morning to get the hoses made and installed and all gassed up. Sat in a hard chair in the waiting room for 7 hours. Read 4 Popular Science magazines cover to cover (did you know that lighting bugs have different personalities?). Enjoyed the cool air on the ride home for the first 1/2 mile until the fuse popped...forgot to swap to bigger fuse. Got to sit in bumper to bumper traffic for an hour sweating my *** off to go 20 miles.

Put new sport comp autometer gauges in it.. Fixed alternator bracket. Cleaned air filter... Decided I want new rims/narrower tire than 295s for the street since I don't get traction anyways... Just a few more small thing to do and it's ready.
