Which car would you lose?

    Well, I made my decision that the Pinto is going! Honestly, it's not that comfortable. I have 3 great projects going that I like better. Going up for sale :-D Maverick, Mustang II, and my Galaxy are the keepers!!! :D

    The Cruising Wagon is pretty collectable with the wagons, but more so. They are cute. But for long legs these cars suck LOL

    nice score on the king cobra! a close friend of mine has the same, but as it is an export model, it's a kevin marti approved 1of1. he's slowly bringing it back to life as it had been neglected for a long time. it's definitely a keeper...

    Thanks, it's one of my favorites. My order of favs:

    1) 1970 Galaxie (because of the comfort driving it)
    2) 1970 Maverick (because it's cool with 3 on the tree and the bench seat)
    3) 1978 Mustang King Cobra II (cause it's too cool)
    4) 1973 Pinto Wagon (cause it's so darn cute)

    That's really cool on the 1 of 1. I'd love to see a build. Is he on the Mustang II forums do you know? I don't think I saw that one? He could do it on Misfits I guess. But I would LOVE to see it and that Marti Report would be soooo awesome!

    Yeah. I think you made the right decision. And I am a Pinto owner. The King Cobra is something special. The Galaxy is rare. The Maverick is the best mass produced Pony car secret ever made :) But the Pinto wagon is not rare or special.

    I would have voted to boot the Galaxy if you had a Pinto: Stallion, Cruising Wagon, Olympic special, or a 4-speed trunk model, or a..... I'll shut up :oops:

    Or one like this!

    Hey it's all good :) That's the Galaxie, and no I can't boot it, almost done, some finishing touches. Rides like I remember them riding back then, R12 in the A/C and blows like you wouldn't believe. I can post a ton of pictures, new interior and so on.

    I'll get a Maverick again one day. But for now, these are my 3 babies :)

    No, it's a 70 with a 70 grill but missing the emblem in the grill. I just have to put it in, but want to polish the aluminium first.

    The side lights are a set I got if you remember, for my 70 at the time and got 2 sets. The dome light also is for a 70 Galaxie.

    :cry: I should have realized it was a '70, antenna is on passenger finder... The '69 were on driver side and one of the most aggravating/distracting features on any car I've owned(had one of each)... My '70 was almost bare bones, had radio, vinyl upholstery, and 302 with three on the tree, no P/S, P/B, A/C, tint etc... The '69 was a wagon and had it all...

    I would love a wagon. The interior is almost done, restoring a 69 wheel, what a pain, but using marine tex. I like the horn below on the ring, so that and the dash pad I'm getting will be a 69 (the 69 didn't have the emblem in the dash). Can't find the sport roof moulding clips. I gotta figure out how to glue them down or attachment them somehow. It's almost there :)

    The wagon sounds awesome. I added a clock, didn't have one. This one is a 351 Windsor, wish it had the 390. I need cragars when I can afford them. Maybe rims with trim rings and hubs like from a Torino. I dunno yet LOL

    While I really liked the '70 Galaxie, I despised the '69 wagon, was just too big and clumsy... The 302 had a busted piston so I swapped a 390 & C6 into it, wound up trading it a few months later for a '67 Falcon Wagon that was loaded as well... Had 289, C4, P/S, P/B, A/C, vinyl seats, two way tail gate(but crank window), even a posi rear, but had rubber floor mats... Which was good, very easy to clean... Eventually it got a 351 & FMX from a '69 Torino, finally sold it to a guy who put the eng and trans in a '67 Stang...

    I think you misunderstood. She actually sold the Maverick and kept the Pinto.:hmmm:
    But, that's the cool thing about cars, everybody has different thoughts and ideas. I would have kept the Maverick and the King Kobra. Those weren't the cool years for Galaxies and well...the other is a Pinto.:D
