Northern California Car Show...2014

Damn, wish I was workin in NoCal It was a fun meeting a few of you guys last year. Wow, already been a year, time has flown! Eat a slice of goood pizza for me.

Too bad you can't make it again this year. Definitely going to grub on some good pizza!

We should probably put curbhopper in a corner all by himself this year.

 

Ok, not that I don't feel real bad about not making it up again this year, but I'm still in Phoenix and will be until next week. The Maverick is sitting on the trailer in garage just waiting.................and it will have to wait a little longer. I will be gone most of July but plan on attending the 15th/16th drags at SacTown in August......................anyone available to be on the pit crew???????

 

you say when and Ill be there. if youre coming to sac raceway I better not miss it. Im 10 minutes from the track.
the track is so close I can hear when theyre racing

 

Picked up the trophy today. Looks cool!
Heard from a friend that a few of the Mopar guys are going to show up. I just wish it wasn't like pulling teeth to get the Maverick/Comet guys to show up. I think there will be three of us(junrai, curbhopper and myself). My Bro won't bring his Mav until he is able to drive it to the show.

 

Cleaned up the car today and got her ready for the car show tomorrow. I wish I would have been able to get my new carpet in and put back on my freshly painted interior panels. Hopefully next year my interior will be 100% and then the only thing holding me back from winning the trophy will be my 42 yr. old paint.

 

Well, the car show ended up going pretty well today. We had a total of 42 cars with 5 of them being Mavericks or Comets. There was a nice selection of cars(and trucks) with something for everyone. The winner of the "people's choice" trophy this year went to a Dodge Super Bee. I believe it was a '68 or '69.
Edit; It was a 1969. I just looked at one of the pictures and his license plate reads "IBEEA69".

 

I just got back from Southern California for a 2 1/2 week visit and I found out that our car show made the local paper once again. They got a good picture from above and you can see all of our cars. I wish I would have known so I could have got extra copies.

 

maybe the newspaper has the article or pic of file so they could print us up that page or section? give em a call

 

Dang I missed it. Got to get on this site more would have love to come up there.
