Just turned 400 miles on the New Comet . Heading for the Dyno @ HP Performance (Tony Ganyon) near Jacksonville, FL .next week for a "tune" .. Been " baby-stepping" until rings seat ,and all the new parts get a modicum of wear, then we'll tie it down for the tune and chip settings . " This " Comet feels really good ..everything working like it should.. Looking forward to the chip being burned.

Thanks! It's just a regular 14" round filter, I don't remember the height, it's been on there awhile now. I'm hoping my MSD stuff shows up soon, that'll be more changes.

I have the MSD box, coil, and cap installed by the previous owner but I would like to pick up the distributor as well.

It looks so out of place in such a sanitary, stock looking engine bay.

Yesterday had a catastrophy.....spacers fell out of the traction bar on the drivers side. Lots of noise and fun on the Michigan roads. Also, the shocks were shot. I had the shocks replaced with Monroe gas shocks, and I got some bar stock from Home Depot and make the shims again. This time, glued them together and to the bars with construction cement. When I get home will make a better design that will cover the ubolts and not come out. Car runs great and no noise. Going to Woodward tomorrow!

140 hours of metal and body work and I just got her back with a single stage on the "frame". All mine now and ready to be built before the final exterior paint. I plan on a slow pace and maybe a year before it's ready for the clearcoated finish and showtime Painted!.JPG .
