Took my comet to the bracket bash this weekend and out of 70 odd cars I got down to the final ten. I lost my first round but bought back in for $20 bucks lol . Car ran a 12.35 fastest to a 12.43 slowest so I did good just need to work on my tree work lol I also won a whopping $100 for tenth place so that was pretty awsome. I'll get some better pics of my car launching wheny buddy sends them to me
Al l the practice you can get helps, just establish a routine & do it every time & you will be successful on the tree.Remember,it really does`nt matter what the person in the other lane does because technically you are racing yourself.
I remember the first summer I drag raced, my best friend told me He was sure I didn't care if I ever won a round ! like he said to me I never did the same thing twice! Once I got a game plan a did the same burn out stage the same every time and drive my own car instead of worrying about who I was racing! I started winning!
that is true when you first start out bracket racing, but as you start getting strings of good lights ( .050 or better we will say) it will be all about what the other guy does in the other lane, things as simple as full throttle braking to shortening the race up if you are ahead too much, dumping at the end if you cant catch the other guy allows you to capitalize and the other guy possibly breaking out and keeping yourself from doing the same.
Iam running a 302 bored .30 over built bottom, aluminum heads, slp low comp pistons and a weiand 174 supercahrger running 5psi with a holly 650.
