I took my car to the track. I built a 351w with flat tops and patriot 185 heads. The car used to have a 351w with 68 302 heads and went 8.4-8.6 on motor. anyway the car went a 7.96 at 86 1.77 60ft with a soft launch and a stumble. on the next pass it went a 1.73 60ft and the trans went boom going into 2nd. all in all I am happy. I cant wait to open the bottle

    Build it,
    Race it,
    Brake it,
    Repeat.

Some of us have some crazy hobbys but they sure are fun!!!!

I'm guessing that's the understatement of the month if you're actually the driver. lol

the last 2 times I have been to the track I have tore up a transmission. First time I tore the trans and rearend out of my Camaro and now tore the trans out of the maverick. I bought an fti turbo 400 and moser 9 inch for it so the maverick will get a stock c4 for now until I can afford a built c4

Hey J,if you can find one get an early 70s model which has the dip stick that goes in the top of the trans against the firewall.I`ve heard these are the best to build because supposedly they are stronger.I have one in a 70s model Torino sitting in a field in case I need it one day.
