Hello to all! I currently have a 71 Maverick with a big block 460 in it. You read that right, 460. The car had some issues with randomly shutting off while driving it for a long time. I tried a lot, replacing the ignition, corroborator, fuel lines, ect. Finally my mechanic figured it out... I'm not even sure what the cause was. The car is running great now. I am starting to do cosmetic work on it. It has some rust on the fenders and other places.

My first question, does anyone know of any places in Southern California who they trust to work on their Maverick? Any advice is appreciated.

I'll post pictures when I get home. I don't have any on this computer.

:Welcome: from Atlantic Canada!! I can't wait to see some pictures of this beast! There are a fair amount of active members in California. Hopefully someone is close enough to give you some recommendations.

Thanks! And I should have clarified. I'm looking specifically for a reference for body / paint work right now. My mechanic can take care of everything else.

Thank you for the reference. It's
a bit far from me but it looks like they know what they are doing.

Anyhow, here is the pics. I just spend about a grand on the interior (not installed yet). New upholstery, seats, dash cap, steering wheel, ect. They should be installed within a month.

Take away the on/off switch on the rear panel of the car and it is definitely a sleeper!!
