Can anyone tell me please what bucket seats will interchange or fit well from other cars to a 71 Maverick?
I have a set of early Mustang seats that were in my car when I bought it and do not like the way they fit. The back rests are also pretty low in height.

As long as you have Maverick bucket seat tracks, virtually anything can fit.

    Craig,

Do you happen to have the tracks for a pair? if so how much? Also do you know where I can buy a set of hood scoops for the grabber hood? You can email me at: melmoe5@gmail.com

I used 92ish mitz 3000gt seats with 3000 gt tracks..as I only had mav bench track..
I didn't do it the correct way. I'll be redoing it with flat bar welded to pan

If mavfloor pans were.more flat you could easily bolt any seat with their tracks to our floors..but our pans dip in the front so need some flat bar
.or jerry rig a tower of welded nuts (yeah, doesn't sound safe)
Flat bar also works to raise seat to around how stock sat.. unless you like the lower seat feel..or if you're a taller guy and need the head room

My car came with a set of 68 or so Mustang seats that have the plastic back that had the original spacers from a maverick and bolted in. I don't like the idea of having plastic backs and the lower back rest seat. I am going to find a set of high backs somewhere.

Do you have a pic of your seats that I could see if it isn't too much trouble.

Craig is right, then use flat steel to compensate on top of the brackets. I have a set of Porsche Boxter Seats, but haven't decided if I'm going to put them in a 1978 Plymouth Volare, 1976 Chevrolet Vega or a 1997 BMW 318ti.
