No motor no trans 4dr, body shop was more then thrilled to part with it. Cut it up Monday and scrap it Tuesday is the plan
Man, there is a lot of good parts there! Don't get too anxious to scrap it. I'll take the whole dash.
save both bumpers grill headlight bezels instrament cluster rear end the wiring harness to the cluster hood emblem front windshield the whole dash package tray front and rear seats cut teh radiator support off too bad its a 4 door that car looks in really nice shape
Hahaha! I think we're nearly to the bottom of the barrel as far as parts cars go in washington/Oregon! It's really hard to find parts cars actually worth buying and reselling parts for a profit. Most them are just plain Jane big bumper cars that need to be hauled to scrap..
Don't forget to add the VIN to the VIN LIST! http://www.mmb.maverick.to/threads/...se-is-your-car-to-someone-elses.61672/page-48
Wow .... one of the best parts cars ever! .... still ... a parts car ...... That grille is the better grille with the stainless strips ... just like a GT grille. Like said earlier .... hood emblem ... very hard to get in good shape, most have the red bleached out. That bumper is nice. Someone will want bumper brackets (Comets have two extra for the nose of the bumper). The valances ... shipping the front one isn't as bad as it used to be. Also, grab the support for the hood latch .... early ones like this also support the valance. Carefully, remove the plastic center support for the grille .... 3/4 of those are broken when I find them. Can't see the armrests on the front doors .... looks like a deluxe interior, so makes me wonder if those are long armrests. My first Comet (a 71) had dressed up door panels like those, but still had the short armrests. It looks like the hood is starting to rust through. Hood release lever is longer on a Comet. I wouldn't bother with the chrome at the top of the fenders ... don't know too many guys that want those. I don't suppose it has a solid battery apron.
