    Dad bought his '71 back this week. I think the previous owner only put a few miles on it, and kept it in pristine condition.

    It was only gone about 2 years. It is a very low-mileage (high 30's or 40K) car and is about 90% original paint. The interim owners kept it nice and buffed it so, if anything, it looks better. He sold it because he was buying a '50 Ford Coupe, but that fell through, and after searching for a suitable one for a couple years, he decided to grab the Maverick back when it became available.
