Landau Technology?

Ok, full admission, the older I've gotten the more I've learned to appreciate the landau look. I was wondering has anybody researched new landau technology, has the materials gotten any better than the old days? Articles, blogs etc... Thanks!!!

Landau is the vinyl material used on the roof top!

Me too. Like those half vinyl tops and pillars with a decorative bar or medallion.

 

I've always understood it to mean fake convertible or vinyl topped roof but I could be mistaken. I know manufacturers used the term Landau in different ways. Just for clarification, I’m talking about a full vinyl roof and the quality of new materials on the market.

most factory tops were applied over the primer. I would think the glue would cause rust to start through the paint.
