Got my new carpet and rear seat installed after the Mini tub. This is my factory seat that has never been re-upholstered, I simply modified the back part of the seat frame to clear the widened wheel tubs.

Love a factory interior with a cage. Is this a custom cage, or prebent?

Thanks, he made it fit the car very tight and I wanted it user friendly because the car is street driven a lot more than it is raced. The front bars run just under the factory armrests so that its easier to get into and out of the car ( I'm 6ft.1 and weigh 237 lbs). When you are seated in the car driving you can still use the arm rest just as though there was no cage at all.

Not quite! I had to have them send another pwr steering pump, that was about a 10day process from ship, test, exchange and return. I did send it on a weekend . The 1st. one started making noise about 10 days after I had the car back in service. That is one of the reasons I did the conversion; had the Thompson pump rebuilt shortly after I got the car and it still did the noise/roar thing. Put up w/ it much to long 4 1/2 years. I only need to get the alignment done; have to go +3 deg. on caster over OE spec's. Right now w/ present align spec's., car will not return to center and tracking is poor.
I am driving the car to local events, where, I don't have to go over 50mph, for the time being. Hope to get that done this week, tomorrow. I will say, I do like the fact, no more leaky hoses, got rid of all the tanglment of hoses.
Everyone I talk to w/ the setup on the Stangs, say; It's money well spent. Hope to confirm that sooner than later.
All for now, heading to Dairy Queen, hang out w/ gearheads --- car been out of service most of the season.
Don't live in a state where you can do this most all of the year. :)

BTW: The steering effort has a lot more resistance to do the same thing as the OE setup. Takes some getting use to.
Things I cud do w/ one hand on old setup easy, sometime, takes two. Turning radius seems to be better.
Will be able to make a better analogy, once I get everything like Borg specifies. Lastly, instructions on installation are almost "non existant". Had to do to many phone calls to find out things that should have been/came w/ the kit.
Will check w/ you to see how yours works out.

    Thanks for the comeback Mojo:
We still have to finish my 70 Maverick we're working on and then we'll tackle the Borgeson Steering for my Daughters 72 Maverick. I'll pay close attention to the work entailed and take lots of pictures . I appreciate your
input .. I 'll be careful with this install and record everything . Maybe develop additional info on the unit itself.
Always helps having someone like you to talk to . I'll keep in t0uch MoJo .. By the way if you wish to send me
an email my address is cameocarclub@yahoo.com .
