This removes the power ram and has 14:1 steering ratio. There's quite a few mustang guys running this with a KRC pump. I'm torn between this, the borgeson box or a rack and pinion. A local shop is getting great performance out of a similar kit they put out. http://www.abspowerbrake.com/maincatalog_frameset010.html https://www.mikemaierinc.com/product/mustang/mod-power-steering-kit/
Did u have any problems w/ tracking and steering wheel return to center on turns? I hve the unit on my car and had/hve this issue. After installing the kit, the car wandered all over the place. It's a lot better after having (2nd.) alignment moving the caster to around 2deg. positive. It's still not where I want it to be but much improved over the OE align specs. Going to add some shims to UCA arms to get the caster spec's Borg. recommend (somewhere around 4deg. pos.) and see how that works.
My car tracks really well, I just had the idiot shop around the corner from me do the alignment and when he couldn't figure out what to do I just told him to do it for a fox body mustang and I will get it realigned when I had the chance. Three years later it still tracks great
