People who bash on Mavericks know nothing about them, and are arrogant morons. And some of them know nothing about cars in general. What's most annoying is that most of the bashers base their claims on the fact that they saw a POS Maverick somewhere, so they assume that all Mavericks are a POS.
I suppose each to his own. Had Ford ever offered the Grabber package with a 4 speed and some muscle under the hood, they would be viewed in the same context as the 340 Dusters or SB/BB Nova's. In my part of the country, they were known primarily as cheap transportation that rusted out after a few winters. The public is really starting to re-discover the car and the young people really like it, if car show comments I hear are any indication.
A) That car featured in the article deserves to be bashed on. B) The general ignorant attitude that some carry about our cars makes them perfect sleepers. Show up in one with some horsepower swapped in and surprise some folks. Quit talking about this so much, or you'll blow our cover. lol
Thats the biggest POS I have EVER seen, including ALL vehicles, they should have started with a Vega, thats what it looks like now, barf!!!
How many film critics are professional actors/ directors/ special effects pros? etc... I have enjoyed every movie that has been bashed by a film critic...
Yeah and the writer of that article drove a 1975 amc pacer hand me down during high school, never once got laid, hell he couldn't even get a girl to ride in it let alone anything else......they probably already fired him for being stupid.
How many of us can say we have never bashed on another make/model of car? The article does not offend me in the least, the car they built however does!
the mav in fast movies, when they talked to the stunt drivers and actors said it was one of the funnist cars there...
