I'm looking at these mustang Valances with the cutouts for the exhaust pipes and want to put one on, I have seen people with these valances on their cars and was wondering what all is different and needs to be done to make it work also what year would be best to buy?

    Thank you, Kyle

I bought one to put on my car. They do need a little modifying to make them work properly such as trimming the ends to follow the maverick rear qtr roll. The one thing to watch for is the edge of exhaust cut out on the drivers side is real close to the spring shackle so you will have to possibly reverse your real leaf spring bolt so that any excess is sticking into the space between the inner rocker and the spring. It is still going to be very tight in getting the exhaust in there and getting it to line up properly with in the cut out in the valance.
These valances have the cut outs for the reverse backup lights to which fall directly inline with your rear frame cross brace. You can work around that by cutting out the area and recap it with metal or possibly by the LED Type rear back up lights for a Mustang. I am not sure if the LED lights project out the back of the light base like the stock Mustang Back Up Lights do. So that may or may not work? Just an option to explore.
I believe I bought a 67 Mustang Rear Valance with the reverse lights and the cut outs for the exhaust. I will see if I can find the pic of it all mounted and post it later.
    Good luck with the project!

    Thanks
