Giving the theme of your car you made a great choice. We have sold Wilwood components for years and never and I mean never had a fitment issue or defective part. The smart thing you did is trust the tech service and purchased a system and not just the brake kit.
Cruzin what master and prop are you running? Do you remember the number? Do you also have Wilwood disc on rear?
I did go with the matching rear wilwood brake set up. The only difference with my Master Cylinder was I went with a mid size bore 1". I also used a adjustable proportion valve.
I have the six piston set up with a Mustang master and disk portioning valve. (Don't have the part numbers right now) So far, they are great. Easy install. Had to do custom lines off the master. Otherwise, bolted right in. Kept the rears drum. Stops amazingly especially after 30 years of driving on drums. Pictures in Showcase. Micah.
I have the Wilwood setup on my Mav, along with the master cylinder and braided lines. Not a huge difference over the Granada discs I had, but enough to notice the difference. I ran the Dragons Tail in the Smokies this fall and there was no trace of fade. I am very satisfied with my setup. Lee "THE MAV" Richart
i have the the wilwoods on my car. i dont remember the part numbers but, the front rotors are 11.8 diameter 0.8 thickness. Ive autocrossed the hell out of these. ive been using racing pads on them the last 6 months. no warping. really good performance. I just now ordered new rotors and pads. Speedway motors sells new rotors for these for $33.00 so its not crazy expensive to replace. It was the racing pads that wore the rotors down.
I have installed Wilwoods in the past for customers, the fit and finish on all of their stuff has been great and their customer service is decent as well. That 6 piston caliper setup for the front is no joke. I installed those on the front and 4 piston units on the back of a 2003 Marauder that was driven hard to say the least and they performed flawlessly.
I have the Willwood disc setup on my car. I love mine. Bolted right on. Great equipment. I would recommend them highly. To me it was worth the money spent. There are cheaper ways to go. But I think you get what you pay for.
