1972 mercury comet with a maverick front end. It has a 1992 5.0 motor in it.
What are the benefits of a 4 link rear versus leafs ?
I've been tossing around the idea of selling my car for a few years now but I've decided to keep it .
I'm wanting to put wider rear wheels on my car . I no it gonna require a lot of work but what the hell .
I'm running 8" rear wheels and wanting 10" wheels tucked .
I want something that handles better than what I have now .
    Opinions appreciated !

If anyone has pics of their 4 link rear that would be great !

not your answer but another option...I'm thinking of moving the leaf springs in 3".

from what I understand you can just move the springs on the inside of the frame rail and that will give you more room

I havent done it yet but I plan to back half my car

If you look at my build, you will see a 4 link setup.

    Its below this ....

I have run Nitto Drag Radials 295-50-15 with Weld wheel with 3/15 backspacing it a 10 inch tire 25.8 tall with stock springs.

If your looking for performance and tunability 4 link is a great option, but if you just want wider wheels it's a lot of work. Moving the leaf springs in like 71gold said wouldn't take very long and allot cheaper.
