Is there a template available to put across the back of a trunk to locate where to drill for a Maverick spoiler and what size the holes are?

Really shouldn't need a template. Measure the distance of the mounting studs and mark on the decklid where they go. Using a hole saw (can't remember what size), drill at a 45 degree angle on the edge of the decklid.

That is how I did it almost. I used a step-bit after drilling a pilot hole instead of hole saw.

Pretty simple, I just did one. Hold the spoiler up to the deck lid and center it, then just mark the hole locations from the studs on the spoiler. Drill 3/4" hole at those spots. Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezie.

Why such a big hole , when you put the quarter extensions on did you have to drill any new holes ? Did you have to add filler panels at the bottom?

if you look here.. http://mmb.maverick.to/resources/installing-5-piece-rear-grabber-spoiler-set.197/ ...you can see the stud mounting boss size. it goes into this hole you are drilling, don't forget the sealer for around the boss.

I see I thought just the stud went through the hole , did yours fit good or did you have to adjust the holes some , did you drill right in the center of the bend ? The tan car seems to be a little lower than yours ?

we marked the location and then drilled on the edge like Crazy suggested. it's not a dead nuts hole anyway, there may be some adjusting with a rat tail file.

Thanks, 55 Crown Vic. That's the information I was looking for.

I just drilled on the center of the curve and worked fine. Didnt have to adjust the hole or anything, prob got lucky.
