Looks good, I have to ask is the decklid just not closed all the way or the trunk out of alignment?

Looks really good. And a nice complement to the chrome trim on the front of the hood.

The spring puts tension on there that raises the lid higher than the quarter extensions. You can adjust the spring for less tension, but the the trunk lid won't stay open. At least it's even on both sides. Looks really good.

it's out of alignment. lock is already all the way down, but i have three latches to try. the old lid fit much better, i guess this one needs some more tweaking ;)

yep.. I like the stock trims much better. Congrats on a job well done.

If you had a lighter colored car with the grabber paint scheme?.. I would agree 100% with z28th's that the trim delete and pinstriping would look nicer. Or better yet.. pretty tough to screw a car up with the brazilian rear lid's "GT" paint scheme too.

last year i participated in a drag race over here in germany. my car will be in the trailer for this year's race. below is a still shot from the video. i'll post the whole video once it's fully edited.

as we thrashed the car around a lot, i had to work out some issues afterwards. spent the day in the garage, car is back on track now!

what a difference that drivetrain makes. the swap from a toploader with 2.75 rear gears to a t5z with 3.50 gears is the best thing i have done to the car yet.
i had a day off from work, so i filled up the tank and drove around all day :D

I couldn't have said it any better than that. And that's what I think building cars is really all about.. enjoying them and sharing them with others. Thanks for sharing with us, tody. :thumbs2:

Not a big country music fan but that tune was actually pretty good too. Will have to show it to my boys later after school.

    thanks, guys.
unfortunately, i won't be able to make it to the race itself - 70th birthday of my father-in-law. hopefully i'll make it to the evening event, maybe i'll have the chance to at least make one run.

on the other hand, i'll have my car dynoed this friday. finally a proper dyno with afr measurements. i'll post the numbers once we finish tuning the carb and timing!
