    Welcome to the family! MY first one was a 77 302,PS,PB car. Its the one that got me hooked on them. Now about 30 cars later I am cutting my stable down to one. You have found the center of the Maverick/Comet world. Take advantage of it. Have fun with the car and good luck on getting it to where you want it.

    Okay so just got it home. Still some heating issues will take care of thst sunday.

    The thing steers like a boat very loose. neighbor(owned a comet) noticed the steering box is moving/loose. Is this the reason we are so loose?

    Could be many things on a vehicle that is 40 years old. I would jack it up and check the entire front suspension like tie rod ends, idler arm ball joints and repair as needed.
