Got the Hobby Room all done and got a lot of stuff moved in the last few weeks.

I've build models since I was a little kid (over 50 years now) and collected car magazines almost as long. Probably made 300 trips carrying all I could carry each time.

    A few models on hand:

This is an HO scale drag strip that runs down the wall. It has a Christmas tree to start off of (including red light if you leave too soon) and win light at the big end. Even has a return lane so you don't have to walk the 16' to the finish line to pick up your cars. My 3 year old grandson loves it!

I've picked up a few more engine parts for the Cleveland build and the shock towers are marked to cut now. Since I got all the stuff moved out of the house and into Hobby Hell, my heart reset, my meds sorted out so I don't feel like crap every day, it's back to my projects!

    Stay tuned!

I wud like to ask: How do you find a particular article in that large collection? Do U have a special way to search for something? You have a very nice "Hobby Hell" space.

Very nice model collection you have - I was big into model making about 20 years ago and have a small room I built in the attic of my garage with all of my unbuilt kits stored away - I figure it will be a nice retirement hobby for me

Right now, the magazines are sorted by brand in separate boxes and roughly by year. This summer, my oldest daughter (an organizational freak) is going to sort them to get all the years perfect then start an inventory on the computer. I want a tech section and a featured car section so I can search by those 2 issues. She claims it can be done.

Models are a great break from 1:1 car building. You can also try paint combinations, wheels, etc to check out a look. I have a couple of the Johan Maverick and Comet kits so one will be a clone of my car.

You might look and see if it has already been done and on-line. I know at one time several magazine had started this free service on their website.

Just listed the car. Haven't touched it for over a year. Life gets complicated and time is short for some things.

Swapped the Maverick for a Pro Street Ford Fairmont yesterday. The new owner is talking about a Mustang II style front suspension and either a Cleveland or a 4.6 mod motor. The Fairmont is built on an Art Morrison 2x3 tube frame with full cage, 9" on ladder bars, Mustang II based front suspension and will be getting the 351C out of this Maverick build. Hopefully get it home and in the shop next week.

Thanks for all the positive comments, help and information. This is a great site and you're a great group of car guys and gals. Thanks for letting me be a part of it!
