I have a chance to buy a maverick driveshaft out of a v-8 mav ,mine is a 6 cylinder originally and was wanting to know if there is any difference between the I-6 and v-8 drive shaft

As long as they are both 2 doors it will be ok.

    Nice chart.
I had no idea there were so many different lengths of drive line. I got one from a junkyard from a 73 2dr 250 and put it in a 74 2dr 302.....both c4....and I think it will work but havent drove it yet.

    If you have a v8 & a c4 I`m pretty sure it will be 45 & 1/2 inches for a 2 door.

    You make a good point.
According to that fine chart, it will work. BUT, before I try to smoke tires, I will go slow. Will also measure shaft and look at the chart again.....just to satisfy the carpenter voice in the back of my head that says "measure twice, cut once."

with me...I set it on the ground and make sure it's not ...too long, you can live with a little short.
I slide the yoke all the way in and mark it. then when it's installed and on the ground I look to see where the mark is...I like at least 1" out...JMO
