my dash restoration

    Got tired if looking at my terribly cracked dash so experimented with afew techniques learned alot avid thrilled with the end result all that's left to do is dye it black..place I get my fabric was out of black

    Used plastic welder to fill the cracks and voids then2 part epoxy. Then applied vinyl using 3m vinyl top adhesive using a lot of heat to stretch so there were no wrinkles

    i had an interior shop do this except they used leather, it makes such a difference in looks.

    I don't really remember how much anymore, my uncle had it done years ago when I had the dash out of my car. They basically filled in all the cracks and then stretched and glued the leather on

    I think it turned out great and I will try it also.. I seen other people fill the cracks with baking soda and super glue??

    Professional looking Job !! I have a few of these dashboard inserts in the attic that I should give the same treatment now that I've seen 'your's' . Nice going !
