Has anyone tried putting the rear view mirror from a 65-66 Mustang on their car? The mounting bracket for the mirror doubles as the sun visor center clip rather than mounting the mirror to the windshield. It does appear that there are 3 screw holes rather than 2 on this mount and I'm not sure if any of them line up properly. I really like the style of the mirror itself - being chrome and having a twist tab at the bottom for Day/Nite. http://www.cjponyparts.com/scott-drake-rear-view-mirror-bracket-1965-1966/p/MIB4/ http://www.cjponyparts.com/scott-drake-rear-view-mirror-day-nite-1966/p/MI15/
same mount as my falcon, it could be made to work but you would be drilling. OR, make a small adapter plate out of 1/4" aluminum with countersunk holes for the screws on the maverick pattern, giving a 'foot' for this to fit. of course would have top be bent (the bracket) to make it work but would be trick. my .02
I've been wondering about this too. Been looking around and found nothing. Might just have to try it out by trial and error.
The last photo is my car. I paid $7 for the mirror at Pull-a-Part. It came out of a early 90's Oldsmobile Aurora and has Auto-Dim/Compass features. I pre-wired before the headliner was installed. If anyone want to go this route be sure to get the button to glue on the windshield when you get the mirror. The aftermarket generic button isn't wide enough to secure the mirror.
