Just got my holley sniper efi kit in yesterday.
Looking forward to starting to install everything Saturday. Really hoping to actually have everything done Saturday.

I know the two things that will slow me down are going to be the fuel supply and return and the timing control part.

I'm pretty sure the stock fuel supply hard line is 5/16" and the kit states 3/8" minimum. So if that's the case I will likely use the stock hard line as my return line and have to run a new supply line. I will probably just go from the tank supply small line to the new supply line and then return through the hardline with a bulkhead fitting ( supplied with the kit).

The timing control doesn't look terribly hard but I've heard it can be rough to get it set up right. The wiring for the timing control is really just 2 connections.....white from kit to the points input on the msd 6al and kit connector to msd pro billet lead.
The hard part is getting the rotor phased correctly and getting the ecu timing to match actual timing as rpm moves around getting the dwell time correct etc.

Overall I'm super excited to go efi and get to tune on the car without changing jets and advance springs etc.

Anyone looking for an AED Holley 650 carb??? LOL

does your sending unit have a 3/8" tube?

what is the fuel pressure rating on the EFI?
    found it...58.5psi.

will this be a problem where you live?

Holley has classified the Sniper as a Emissions Category 3 product, meaning it is only "legal for use on Uncontrolled (Non-Emissions Controlled) Vehicles or Racing Vehicles". So, sadly, it is not CARB certified .

Unless you're going to make 500Hp, a 5/16" line should be OK...

BTW I believe line on my '72 is 3/8"...

Can anyone confirm or deny that stock hard line on 70 maverick is 3/8"???
I didn't get a chance to look today as the starter died when I went to move the maverick. So needless to say I spent the few hours I had before work doing a starter swap...... so much fun with long tubes.
This would atleast let me know if I need to head to the parts store before going home from work in the morning.

    Thanks

Yeah mine was 5/16". I used that as a return and put a 3/8" bulkhead in the sending unit for supply.

Having issues with a super rich idle right now. I think my crap headers are leaking like the titanic causing the o2 to read lean and overfuel to hit the right afr.
The afr reads 13 to 14 at idle but its so rich its fuel fowling my plugs and stinking up the place lol

About to order a new set of headmans.

New headman 88300 headers should be here today with a full set of remflex gaskets and new arp header bolts. Hoping this resolves all of my exhaust leaks and gets that o2 sensor happy. Hard to work out all my other bugs when the cars running so rich it will foul plugs idling. haha

New headers are in and everything seems very happy now. No more super rich conditions caused by exhaust leaks.
No on to the other 20 maverick projects lol

Honestly there isnt much to capture. Its a pretty simple install and swap. About as in depth as any carb swap with a little wiring and swapping out fuel pump setups, nothing fascinating by any stretch of imagination.
I will try and take some pics and video this weekend after i get a new u joint in the driveshaft.
