If the primary stop screw (Holley 1850) is turned in more than 1 turn from primaries fully closed, too much transfer slot may be exposed adding extra fuel to idle. If you can turn the idle mixture screws in until gently seated without killing, or nearly killing the the motor, your idle may be getting extra fuel from t slots and be too rich.

I can't get my carb adjusted either, it has stunk at idle since day one. it drives great though. I will ditch my holley and try a street demon carb or go big and just get EFI.

Took out steering column, steering box, e-cable and shocks and started to tape off in prep for sand blasting engine bay.

Didn't pay attention getting a ladder off the wall. Rake fell and hit the Mav. Chipped the paint at the upper right corner of the trunk and the body. Damn it. I'm always worried in the parking lot that some idiot will ding it. Turned out the idiot was me. Hope I can get it back to show quality.

I feel your pain...yesterday a cat ran into my garage and my dog chased after it. It jumped onto a high shelf and knocked off a metal box. Of course the edge came down and scraped part of the car.

Well, it stinks to the point of making your eyes water and your clothes smelling like exhaust. Gotta fix it!
