It WAS a great night! Sorry you weren't able to make it Don. Glad to see eight mavericks in attendance! Look for all the details in an upcoming issue of Shorthorns! Thanks to all that made it out! :)

Anyone know if the 70s gas tank uses a gasket or silicon around the perimeter to keep debris and water out of the trunk area?

Anyone have a 15inch Ford 5 lug pattern steel factory wheel that they can do without? I'm looking for one to mount a spare tire on.

Hi guys/gals! I know I couldn't be any farther from Arizona (Great White North on the Atlantic Coast), but I saw a post on a FB Maverick site. A guy was looking for his old car that he sold in Flagstaff Arizona back in 2001. He's trying to track it down, and I knew you AZ guys had the Sandbox, so I figured I'd try and help him out.

VIN is 5K91L174590 and it was switched to small bumpers. He gave me a picture of it, but said when it was sold, it had a Grabber hood on it.

This is his contact info: https://www.facebook.com/duane.wigton?fref=gc&dti=229860090462939

    From his FB post:

Question for the group. I sold my first maverick, my first car, my pride [and] joy, back in 2001 and have kicked myself in the ass everyday for it. But being a newly married couple back then with 2 kids, at the time it’s something I had to do. I’ve always wondered what happened to it. And if it is still out there floating around. I knew the license plate number, but couldn’t find any old paperwork of mine that showed the vin so I could do some sort of research on the whereabouts now. Well I happen to be at the DMV here in Az yesterday and gave them the plate number and sure as [$#!%], they had the VIN on file. But that’s all the info they had. Does anyone know how I could find out where it is just by using the VIN somehow? If I remember right, I sold it to someone that lived in Flagstaff, Az. But later heard that it might be somewhere in New Mexico. Any help would be greatly appreciated. What I would give to get it back.

Hey everyone, hope your new year is going well. I'm trying to just stuff my 250 back into my 70 so I can move it around while I focus on the 75. Any chance some one has a C4 laying around you would part with. I don't want to deal with the AOD right now. The AOD can go into the deal if you want it. I'll also have an 8" 4-lug rear available.

Forgot to ask a couple weeks ago, but does any remember the name of the shop that can restore the small front bumpers? I want to get the front done before I put it all back together

How much for the AOD? Also I found the plastic bumper fillers in the attic for the big bumpers you have if they help you.

I bought a pan fill C-4 and hope to get that stabbed into the car in February. The AOD will be surplus, (already have another one for the 5.0 swap in my '75) so if you want it I can bring it down on the 19th. Would $250 be reasonable for it and the torque converter? I did put front and rear seals in it so those are fresh, but haven't done anything else to it.

I'll also have the side marker cases with me.

Just seeing this post now. I had all my chrome work including bumpers done at Kerr West Plating...located in Phoenix at 43rd Ave and Camelback. They did very nice work but let me tell you...the owner has no people skills and is kind of a jerk. And don't expect fast turnaround...they are a very busy shop. $325 per bumper so not cheap either. I went to this guy because my paint guy highly recommended him.
