I'm not liking the pads I have on,they dust alot,so when i get ahead of the bills,i'll tear it down... You don't have to take them off to change pads, but I should have built a template... Theres other fords they'll fit on... Times were a little tougher than at the moment,so was working with what I had... I had to down it for a little bit, wasn't running right, low vacuum, low power, very thirsty... I had laughed at the thought of making double brackets and putting another set of calipers in front... But how much brake do you need?

Double calipers would have been funny, and like you said way more than necessary! If I ever get some drum brake spindles I'll heavily consider doing this. If you do take it all apart please make a template, I'm sure most of the guys on here (including myself) could make it from scratch like you did, but a template would sure make things easy! If you're looking for performance, low dust pads I HIGHLY recommend Raybestos Element3 pads. GG friction rating, great pedal feel and performance, and best of all I haven't had to clean my wheels ONCE since I installed them on my daily driver months ago.

I'll remember that... Kinda like Raybestos parts, never had any bad ones... Car I pulled this stuff off had just had pads and caliper,so I just couldn't bear not using them, budget wise...

When I got Granada discs from P&P, all the brake parts looked recent too; I re-used all of it. I have not seen another Granada in that yard for 3 years. Parts from the crown vic are in there almost every day.
