IMG-3481.JPG I am detailing and restoring some parts while they are off the car for a repaint on my 74 Maverick. I have the front turn signal assemblies apart and the cover grill that goes over top of the lense is in need of some work.
My question is, is this supposed to be black and chrome or all chrome? It looks like it should be chrome with the black trim as shown in the picture. I just want to make sure that this is not something someone did at some point before I go through the trouble of repainting the black.

The parts that you have indicated with the pencils are correct with black paint in those areas, I have repainted several of them

Thanks Craig, I figured you might be one of the first with an answer. Black trim it is.

Not too bad to paint, cross hairs are the hardest. If you good with masking stuff off then it is a lot easier. Your lucky your have a set that the chrome isnt pitted

Yes, the chrome is in good shape, the car came from Washington State and was always garaged. I found some 1/8" wide vinyl masking tape that should work well for taping it off.
