Headers installed, exhaust done! Car sounds a lot better, and a little better low end power to boot. Job wasn't too expensive, and work was excellent. Cudos to Jack Jones Auto in Camden, SC.

Installed lowering blocks on the 8", I used a 1" block for now and it looks good. I have 2" blocks just in case though...

Finally finished up the rearend on my Maverick today (All but the e-brake cables) I havent touched it in almost a year ,and it felt good to get some progress made. It is mini-tubbed and has a narrowed rearend (47 3/4" flange to flange) with 35 spline Strange axles and an Aluminum Strange third member with full spool and 4.11 gears. 29x12.5 Hoosier tires on 15x10 wheels. It as "Right Stuff" Disc brakes, Cal-Tracs traction bars with Calvert split Mono-leaf springs, and QA1 adjustable shocks. 0325181749a.jpg 0325181750.jpg

I started the restoration of my 1973 Maverick about a month ago. This car was my Grandma car that she factory ordered with a 302 and 3 speed on the floor with Black high bucket seats. The car has 58,000 miles and is in need of a complete restoration. I am building a rotisserie to help with the restoration. This weekend I torn apart the front end fenders, bumpers, and steering and suspension. I have my ideas to update this car should be a fun project.

Finally found a sport steering wheel and found a stallion in a barn at the same place! Talking to the owner about possibly getting the car!
