Can someone tell me the difference in the early (70-73) front wheel well moldings vs the later style (74-77)? I understand the front fenders had extensions from '74 on, and the earlier cars had a front valance, but how much did that affect the actual wheel well opening/shape? Can the later style (74-77) molding be modified to work on an earlier style (70-73) car?

    Thank you!

Really good question, I would think they would interchange the arch should be the same but the length may be different. I have a couple sets of them but dont remember what years the came from I will take one of them and fit them against both years 72 and 76 and will report back

Back in 99 when I converted my 77 Maverick to small bumpers, I reused the wheel well trim. Its aluminum so it will bend enough to work.
