I know exactly what you mean there, Mike. That car is along the same lines to what mine will eventually become over the longer term. But mine will merge the latest engine and suspension mod's into the old school attitude. Lots of Brazilian race cars with fender flares, scoops, louvers and all the bare bones grass roots style performance mod's to use as templates. And of course all the vintage uni-bodied Fords, and others of that era to study and copycat from too. I really miss the factory appearing race cars from road-course and drag racing days. Hell, I even loved nascar around that time. "Win on Sunday.. sell on Monday" actually worked. ;)

And you still have only touched the tip of the iceberg with this list. Most of the people that have attended the Round Up or Gathering cars are not in the Garage

Nice call out groberts101. You would probably have to pm each and every one of them to get their attention and post their car in the Garage.

    Even then!!!

    Thanks for your continued support!

We are up to 73 cars in the Garage. I know there are a lot more that should be placed there by their owners.

I went to look at a super interesting car in the Garage this morning only to find a one liner description. This car based on the few pictures, has so many modifications and no information. The owner may have that information posted on a build thread along with comments from others hidden in the archives of this site. Why make it difficult to find details about your car?

    What a shame!!! :(

In the Garage the author controls 100% of the content. You can't do that on a thread!!!!!!!

Keep working Hotrock you'll have all of us thinking of different files to go in and explore. That was one of my first files to explore an see what others have done. So I built my engine from others on a budget plat form . Just like I paint cars . :tiphat: Hats off to you Lady.

We now have 74 Mavericks and Comets in the Garage section of the site. Who is going to make it 75 with a good write-up and pictures?

There are only 15 cars out of the 74 with information on Wheels and Tires in the Garage section. That portion of the Garage contains valuable information for a member trying to determine correct wheel and tire fitment. How about spreading the knowledge by placeing your Garage listed car's wheel and tire information?

The Time Slip section of the Garage has 11 ETs and MPH listings. I'm confident we have more racers and week-end warriors than that on this website!!!!!

If you haven't visited the Garage section of this site, take a look! Don't neglect to check out the Wheel, Tire and Time Slip sections as well.

We now have over 100 cars registered in the Garage section of the site. That is a good start however, we do not have a lot of information on ET and tire and wheel sizes. Those are two important pieces of information for members wishing to pattern their car after yours. Has anyone noticed a decline in the number of threads requesting tire and wheel sizes?

Also, those of you who have postings with precious little information or pictures it would be great if you would expand your listing.

My postings #1, #27, #33 and #50 of this tread explains what I believe is rational for the Garage section. Take a look at my postings, hopefully you will be convinced to place or update a posting to the Garage.

There are now over 150 cars in the Garage! @Hotrock made some great points (here, here, here and here) on the benefits of adding your car along with comprehensive info like wheels and tires and other info like timeslips and dyno numbers (when known).

Finding this info is easy as it is categorized by different tabs on the garage landing page.
    upload_2018-12-25_20-42-58.png

I enabled a new feature to feature garage entries on the Garage landing page. I selected cars that have comprehensive write-ups and pictures and or have wheel, tire, timeslips and dyno numbers info.

I also created new trophies that members can receive by using the Garage. Members submitting a garage entry will receive a trophy for each of the the following criteria that is met:
    • Creating a garage entry (only one will be awarded even if you have more than one entry)
    • Adding at least 10 images to the garage (can span multiple garage entries)
    • Received at least 25 likes for their garage entry(s)
Even if you do not have a garage entry, you can still receive a trophy by rating at least 15 garage entries!
