Well for those that are not on Facebook or did not attend The Gathering or The Round Up an important fact has not been mentioned, it was a topic of discussion at The Gathering as to getting the 2 groups back together for this event and those in attendance at the get together voted that it would be okay to merge the groups . After all this will be the 50th anniversary of the Maverick (yeah they did come out in 69 )

As to whether or not the MCG will be defunct is unknown at this time

I know Mike will top me but I would be 37-38 hours and close to 2,500 miles! My goal is two years and the car will be road worthy. Could do it in less if w/life (wife/life :)) wouldn't keeping distracting me!!

I remember seeing that picture. Not sure I'll get my wife on a trip of that length.

I wish just one of my trips could be that short, the last one was right at 6,000 miles and 21 days but when you are camping along the way it makes it seem shorter because I dont drive as far in a day, I use to try and make it 500 to 600 miles a day now its down to 350 to 400 and less some days.

Last year was a tough year going 5,000 twice in a little over a month not sure how much more I can do it, its a good thing that it is a year between trips because I forget how long it actually is in that time span but the plus side is we always have a great time and enjoy meeting everybody and the wife likes to do it can you imagine what it would be like if the wife did not enjoy the trip .

I pretty much guarantee anyone if you are undecided about attending one if these events that you will have a great time and make new friends, we have every year that we have attended and I predict that the Round Up in Kingsport will be the most attended event to date
